Greg's Revell Char B.1 Bis and FT 17

    Hi all,

I've wanted to pick up this kit for years - early war tanks have always been an interest for me. So this seems like the perfect opportunity!

I've got a few little diorama ideas, and at the moment I'm not sure whether to go for a French or a German paint scheme. I may or may not implement the walls that come with the kit. With two tanks in one kit, there's a lot of possibilities :smiling3:

    Thanks,
    Greg

Started work on this one. Got both the tanks together, and started painting the Char B. So far so good, decals and weathering to follow.

I'll be using the buildings that come with the kit, but will have them on a bigger base, so I can fit some scenery in. The Char B will be on it's way down the road with the infantry that come in the set, while the FT17 will be knocked out in a ditch, having previously retreated in the opposite direction.

More work done on the Char. I've weathered it, and added the tracks. They might look a bit too rusty for an active service vehicle, but I wanted to experiment :smiling5: I also added some wire hooks on the back, and some chains.

I think once the commander is added, this one will be done. On to the FT!

Thank you both! The FT has had a lick of paint, and the base is starting to take shape. I've kept the buildings, and my plan is to have the house on the left turned mostly into rubble. The area at the bottom will be grass, and the FT-17 will have been abandoned in either a shell crater or a pond, I haven't decided yet!

This looks really good. I might have to have a go at something like this one day.
