I'm in.
It's taken a while but I've decided I'm going to finish my first stalled build from this forum, the second 95th Rifleman from my 'Bought at Cosford for a Fiver' thread from last year. I met Simon there and I think it's a fitting connection.
This is where I got to
there WILL be pewter!
I’ll be going for this. Simon built an incredible Tamiya version a few months ago, so I’ll be studying his efforts as I go through trying (And likely failing) to include some of his modifications.
Neil. I have added you to the list and I think that a great tribute to Simon to finish this in his Memory.
Jack. Very nice I noticed on his and other StrumTiger builds his was very picky on how they were built. I myself took a couple lashings from Simon on my 1/72 build but I finally won him over I think or he gave up one or the other good luck
Before Simon passed away he bought 2 kits from me, they was delivered the day he passed, if anyone has either of them it would be a fitting tribute to build them.

1/72 BMP3 Infantry Fighting Vehicle With Cage Armour Model Collect UA72179
Lee mate, you’ve left me off :thumb2:
Not sure what I’ll build yet, but have some ideas....might even try a scratch build.....not done one for many years but still have all the sheet and rod materials.....
I'd like to join if I may, will have to unpack the modelling tools. Fortunately have a few unpacked kits anda few WIP but no where 50% completes so one or two of those could be a contender.

John. That’s a great idea hope some picks up on it. Very sad he will never see them.
Steve. Glad to have you. I will be watching for that lap tray. First time I seen Simon working of his lap I thought I’m not the only one who does that but he was brave enough to post his work doing it.
Mike. Glad to have you. You have 3 weeks to unpack those tools and shine them up for the build. I will add you to the list.
Hi, as we know Simon was quite well know for not finishing some of his projects. One he did not manage to finish was his entry into the Toon GB I run last year, a M51, which he sadly never built.
I would like to build it in his honour and yes there will be pewter.
I will also include his blog of his build .
