I just want to make something clear. There are some people I personally asked to join the GB and some said Yes and others No. If you are wondering where Steve Jones is and why he is not on the list he PM me and said that he and Simon had a project together and it was over 50% done and would rather do a Personal full build Spread of it on his own later. If you have any Questions about the GB please PM me or one of the Mods. ThanksComment

Don't know how I missed this but here is my entry........Thought I would do another Zis 5 (not very imaginative, I know) but I will put a spin on this one.......it will be a captured vehicle that has been placed in the Wehrmacht.
Rick H. p.s. in case any one thinks I started this build early....here's another shot of it disassembled. Rick H.Comment

Yes Jim, thank you so much for asking. Your generosity won't be forgotten. The other trailer got binned because it was the wrong dimensions in the compartments. If you look at the pic I posted, your reels are there except a few others that I still have to fill with cable. I will get it right this time. I hope you are doing well and thanks once again Sir...

As I told Lee in a private message, I have been thinking about joining, but I’m undecided. I want to, but I have too many other things I want to actually finish — and am doing everything but that as it is. To make it a proper SimonT tribute, IMHO a model needs to have a lot of corrections put in, and that’s exactly the kind of thing I’m not really looking forward to doing at the moment.
However, I might jump in later, when my M113 is finished (which I should really get back to, as it’s for another group build that ends in about six weeks’ time). We’ll see …Comment

Jakko. We would love to have you jump in at anytime.
John. Sorry but everything can’t be 4BO I’m sure Rick will due it justice with that Beautiful German color he uses.Comment

Hi all
So I've had a change of heart on this. As you may recall I was going to do one of my new Comets because they have more PE than I've ever used before. (link HERE).
However, I've decided to stretch myself much further in memory of Simon with first ever vignette, using my first ever 1/35 AFV and my first ever 1/35 figures, using this kit. :cold-sweat::fearful::anguished:
I bought it about 18 months ago after it was recommended as a nice easy intro to 1/35 but only realised 6 months ago it came with figures - shows how much attention I was paying at the time!
As a nod to Simon I'll be using a technique Simon said he would have a go at himself, using expanding foam for hills (link HERE). I don't know if he ever did but it was one of my threads Simon was kind enough to comment on.
The current working title is 'The Lookout'.......

Lots to improve so well suited to the MrT treatment, though the figures are overscale and quite poor.Comment
