Andrew. I’m sure you will do well with the PE and a better choice I must say. I’m the last guy you want to give PE to. That’s like giving John Race a propane torch.

Andrew, to reassure you I am quite safe, but on occasions where realism is required I have set fire to dios :smiling3:
No one has been injured in these escapades and full HSE is implemented.
There will be fire , or the remains of in my diorama I am doing now.
Some members on here will not let me attend their builds unless I have been searched. This I feel is quite unfair :crying:.
Thank you Lee for allowing me to respond.Comment

You’re welcome John. I didn’t have the heart to respond to Andrew’s question. That reminds me was you searched at the beginning of this thread????Comment

This my choice for resurrection of another old kit that i started back when I was very very very very young,,, (I’m sure the rabble will contain themselves with the old man jokes...but maybe not)
put this kit back in the box apparently and it’s not seen daylight until now... much needed detailing and scratchery to comeComment

Joe. I love those old Tamiya kits glad you brought it out. I’m not commenting on the old part I have crossed over there my self.Comment

I know it’s bending the rules a bit, but I think we should allow Rick to include his tanker truck build in this group tribute if he wants to. It’s being constructed for exactly the same reason, a memorial to Simon, but was started before the group build was up and running. What do you think Ian/mods?Comment

I have something in mind for this, although similar to Ron, it's just a pile of scraps at the minute!
I mentioned scratch building on off-road buggy for my Roadtrain dio, but ruled it out as being a step too far. However, in memory of Simon I reckon I should push myself to have a go, since his scratch work was amazing, and if the process edges me even a fraction closer to his level, it'll be worth it.
I can but try, although in the words of the Jedi Master in his avatar - "Do or do not, there is no try!"Comment

Andrew. That would be nice Simon liked to push you out of your comfort zone because he knew you could do it. Simon had a eye for Modelers who could and couldn’t do things. I think you will do fine.Comment
