... But when I came to take the pics of it, I realised that the front top and rear top were not the same width. After going around it, I found that for some reason the top should measure 16.5 mm across. The front did, but the back for some reason was not and was 1.5mm out. The whole side of the box should be vertical and was not. I did try to see if I could maybe split the glue joint andadd the difference, this would also involve correcting the interior, and in the end would have caused more problems. So that is 3 days work in the scrap bin.
Now going to think about this and it will either go back on the shelf or I might come back to it, going to take time away from modelling to think about it. Back in a couple of days.
    Mike.

            Update,
After sorting out where I went wrong on the stowage box, I then consulted the oracle who threw down some ancient bones remove from the corpse of a long lost Dido (Yes John R, the spelling is correct), and then pointed me in the right direction - rubber rulers do stretch....
Here is the new box and lid already primed inside ready for a coat of Aluminum paint. The lid will be attached once the whole vehicle is complete.

Once the interior is painted then it will be attached to the hull. The stowage box for the other side is also now under construction.
            Cheers
            Mike.

Nice work that, I suspect the "Ancient" bird bones are doing the trick! Rick H.

                  Update.
Now moved onto the rear hull and the left rear stowage box. This is basically a Chieftain stowage box, cut down and modified to fit.
                  This is my offering...

I then decided to add the side 'wall' which goes around the rear hull to engine deck. This involved making a template out of paper and once satisfied I then went ahead and made a thicker template from plasticard.
The next job was to trace around the template onto aluminium sheet and cut this out. After a bit of rolling and tweaking this has now been added to the hull along with the rail along to top and the framework and cable ducting on the outside.
