Afternoon folks,
Finally managed to get the kitchen table back and got the 223 out to play with :smiling3:
The next step is to assemble the frame antennae and I wanted to show the frame folded down, so a bit of modification will be required to the kit.
Pictures I found on the net show a few different variations, all reasonably simple to replicate.

[/COLOR]
Started by cutting off the uprights and drilling out/ opening up the ends.
The uprights will be replaced by something a little thinner and I’ll make some knuckles up for the ring antenna to mount onto.
Typically I don’t have any wire or plastic at the right gauge so a shopping I will go!!
Thanks for looking

Its a very enjoyable build, not ready for it to end just yet, so yes we may see stowage and stuff
Been twiddling about with the radio antenna, so I can model it folded away.
pleased to say the concept has worked but needs a slight modification to allow it to fold lower...
thanks for lookin, all comments welcome.Comment

Cheers chaps :smiling4: :thumb2:
Been waiting for some copper foil to arrive so I could make the modifications needed so the antenna would sit lower.
Foil arrived yesterday, so got on and made the bits needed last night...
Much happier with that now. Need to go through the destructions to see whats left....after a nap of course :thumb2:Comment
