        Hi Tim
That is a great looking paint job. The various shades do add interest to a plain, slab sided tank.

Thanks Jim. It’s since had a dark green pin wash to bring out the details (such as they are) a little more. That has also darkened it a little overall, making it look a little bless minty :thumb2:

If I'd got a cabbage looking like that, I'd put it in the bin :smiling5:

Well, it’s more use as a cabbage than as a tank

Struggling a bit with mojo on this build, I must admit. Tracks are getting there now though…

Basic stuff, coated with Vallejo German cam black brown, then washed with burnt umber and highlights added using a 6B pencil. Looks OK though.

Question for those in the know….did KV wheels have rubber tyres? It looks like they are bare steel, but I don’t want to highlight wear points and someone helpfully point out that they had rubber outers….

Great work Tim! Sorry to hear about the Mojo though.....Hope it pops back up soon as you've put some hard work into this. KV wheels were steel all the way. T-34's had rubber tires. Tracks look really good too. Modulation giving probs maybe???

                      and one a bit closer….

This was just two 4BO shades, dark one from below, normal one from above, followed by an oil paint dry brush using a shade mixed from sap green and titanium white….track has just had a coat of dilute VJ German cam black brown.
Still have to pin wash it, and maybe add some restrained streaking…..the armour plate texture is actually poor spray technique, but it looks OK so I’m leaving it alone. The tank was two weeks old at the trials, so chipping won’t be in evidence…..and the ground was frozen, so no mud……it will get sooty barrels though….
Tim. I like that color it really stands out great updates

Cheers Allen. Mojo has gone south due to world events, nothing else. I think when I’m off the Russian steppes and back on home turf I’ll be back to normal…..
Thanks for the info on the wheels as well. I thought that was the case, but wanted to double check because I don’t have any red army references to hand.
T34 tyres are very obvious to the eye though. I always think they look like they are fitted with lorry wheels

Thanks Lee. Again, I’m not really familiar with 4BO, but it looks like the box art, so that’s a plus :thumb2:
