Thanks Steve, lost it a bit with the recent attack on the Ukraine, although a different date still feels wrong to have an interest in Russian armour.

Yes binned, why you shout. Well I cut some plastic and using silicone applied the sheets cut to length, glued them to the sides. Mixed up the "water" and it leaked out. oop:oop:oop::cold-sweat::angry::worried::sad::flushed:

These things happen, not pleased as you can imagine, but as the water left on the base had failed to dry as well I decided to remove the whole base from the subbase and start over afresh.

No bridge, just some filler a dip in the center (note the Mod podge recently purchased) some ice sheet and a lone KV deserted in the snow.

Thanks for looking in, comments welcome.

            John.:smiling3:

              Hi John
Rather shocked as you excel at this sort of thing. Having said that these things happen. Looking forward to the mk2 base which will no doubt be a stunner.

Bit of a bummer but know you well enough now to bounce back a pain after all the hours but hey from the ashes and all that. Dave

Oh dear :tired: I was having a very enjoyable catch-up and getting all excited!
                    And now this!
The remains of the bridge looks fine as it is-hope you can incorporate it somehow.
Top stuff, John, in spite of the set-back!

What a shame, all that work gone - don't let it get you down though, turn it around as a 'learning' experience :thumb2: (whereas I'd probably try to salvage it and it'd look a right dogs dinner!)

Ah, too bad, it was looking very impressive. Shame it won’t get completed, but you live and learn, I suppose … Better luck with the next attempt

                          Devastating mate, absolutely devastating.

You have the talent to rebuild it , you have the technology, you have the capability to build the first bionic base. John Race will be that man. Better than he was before, stronger, and faster than he has ever been!.

You have the power to rebuild it!

Thanks Jim, well not worth being upset, more to the point annoyed at the sealing being poor.

Indeed David. Can't win them all, the only good thing is I'd tried some new methods on the base which I shall use again at some point .

Gerry hi , thanks for commenting, normally I would try to salvage the base, but with it not drying at all it was pointless continuing .

You certainly do live and learn !
I could come back to it at some time using another KV 1 , which was indeed the tank in that photo .It's all a leaning curve at the end of the day .

Sorry for your mishap, John. I'm sure that Base 2.0 will be as great as the 1.0 would have been and, possibly, will be in a future project, as the idea was brilliant.
