Still got the RA problem. Steroids are just about controlling the worst of it, but it’s certainly not under control. The outsourced meds supply company that are supposed to be supplying the biologics are an absolute shambles. Neither me nor the rheumatologist can get a reply from them regarding the start of treatment. I tried all last week, and she’s tried all this week. They’ve had the go ahead for about a month. Anyone out there using Sciensis (or trying to) has my absolute sympathy. I’m just glad I don’t need something like cancer treatment meds from them.
Sorry to hear that Tim. Hope you get it sorted soon!!!

    ATB.

Well, a couple of hours later and the underside is painted. Kept the preshade as well, so I must be getting better on the airbrush…..

I also lightened the colour a little and highlighted the middle of some panels. Quite pleased with the effect to be honest. The finish seems to have improved under paint. Next session will be the top side…….

"Quite pleased"......I think delighted or even ecstatic would be more appropriate!! That's turned out very very indeed Tim.

        A great finish!

Cheers Andrew. I must admit I was surprised……and very pleased when it dried. Nice to use the airbrush as a brush rather than as a spray gun as well.

Very nice of you Tony. Just got to replicate it on the top, then do the same with the green, so no pressure eh!

That underside paint job is really well done. Pre-shade has come out perfectly. When it works like this it's a great feeling. I've obliterated quite a few pre-shades in my time but this has inspired me to keep at it!

That's second camouflage top coat is what I found hard to do on one of my 109s.

Got to be happy with that. We've probably all butchered pre-shading at least once in our lifetimes but you seem to of had everything just click into place with this.

Cheers Jim. Dilute paint, low pressure, and a light touch seems to work so I’m sticking with it……

I always used to paint the whole of the light coat over the airframe first. Trouble is, the dark coat then obliterated the pre shade. On the last build I tried something a little different. What I did was mark on the camouflage with a pencil and only paint the bits that needed the light colour. Doing that, I managed to keep the pre shade intact where the darker green was due to go. I don’t think a Luftwaffe mottle would work that way, but the wing camouflage should.
