Well, I got there. It felt like I was dragging a real one down the runway at times. Not my favourite build by a long chalk, but it’s come out OK…..

De Havilland Mosquito FB MkVI, NT202 AJ-N.
617 squadron July/August 1944. Flown by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC, OM, DSO and two bars and DFC. His philanthropic endeavours are even more worthy of note than his military service. Look him up!

Cheers Bob. Superb aircraft, deserves a more modern kit I think though…..this one is starting to show its age.

Yep, that’s right Rick. I’ve had some primed and ready for about three months now. I’ll clean down and start by the weekend.

Don't forget to post 'em up as you go so we can see the "Marlow" method step by step.......who knows, you may have some new little trick to pass on to us that are always looking to improve on a good thing.

Might wait until I do the next plastic ones, then I can do an SBS from sprue to base……

The Mosquito looks splendid, top notch.
The Keep off decals. I built a 1:32 Mosquito once and seem to remember using a new blade to cut the clear film out of the centre.

Cheers Colin. I think the biggest issue was the Tamiya decals. Better quality ones would have snugged down much more readily.

Bring on the Airfix or Italeri decals, that’s what I say…..the kits may sometimes have issues, but the decals are superb……
