I think I see where you may have gone wrong here. The leading edges should be a natural metal colour. The red/white stripes start at the transition from the leading edge, wrapping around the trailing edge to finish next to the leading edge on the opposite side of the blade.

          Simon,
I got my kit out again today and un-bagged all the sprues. I have gone over every piece-part and can find none that match the panellisation depiction in those cut-away views. I don't think I'm being thick - I just can find nothing that matches.
If it is of any comfort, there's at least two of us :smiling5:

Hi all 1 last moan winge call it what you want! Just about to decal the rota blades only to discover there's not enough of them!!. If you count the dashed lines and the solid lines part ref199 & 200 there should be 24 but only 12 in the pack? i checked double checked and then cleaned out my room definatly only 12, Flip you said you have this kit could you check for me if you have time. Same page as before unless i really am loosing it,and again (thanks Rick) these lead from the leading edge but much clearer on this detail

              Simon,
I haven't started mine yet, so the decal sheet is intact:

The good news is "you are not losing it :smiling3:"
There are only 6 of each (in the bottom LH corner), each being 30mm long. I have measured the blade width and it is 15mm.
So, assuming that the decal is meant to wrap around both top and bottom (as depicted in the two images at the bottom LH corner of Step 50), there ARE only half of the decals provided for this.
How good are you at painting fine dotted lines?
              Just kidding!
Looks like we both have a problem.
I see you're working to some sort of deadline. Do you need mine in the short term?
              Regards,
              John

An option would be to cut them in half and just place them on the top of the rotor, might not be to noticeable not having them on the underside.

I did think of that but decided to go with the 2 on each rota for now and if revell come back to me I will add the others later, not convinced the request was sent and a nightmare to up load documents and pictures see how it goes

Done this morning. We'll see how we get on. Just raised a ticket with Airfix on the Wellington Mk.VIII - they're quoting 28 days :disappointed2:

ok well i am going to call it done even if its missing a decal or 12…also a bit of silvering i believe its called on the iron cross top and bottom. sorry its taken so long but i‘v had a few issues along the way not just the silvering promise to try harder, pictures with and with out the rota blades and just for good measure i built the jeep and the howitzer as well (i think thats what it is anyway?) comments welcome good or bad but fair to say its been challenging mainly because its not my genre.

                                Simon,
If I didn't know otherwise, one really can't tell you had hit problems. You have overcome them superbly. I really like the multi-colour camo!
I did draw a bit of a breath at first when I got to the image of it on its side and saw the tail rotor in contact with the surface. Murphy's Law dictates that, if it had been me, I would have broken my tail rotor.
                                Glad you didn't.
Anyway, that's a neat bit of kit and it's a pleasure to look at! :thumb2:
                                Regards,
