Right.........now that we are all here, I have been checking the canopy fit and as suspected it has "gremlins"! I had been warned by Paul E. awhile back about sdv models poor fit on some of their tank kits.....appears they have carried it over to their flying things as well. And yes the wipers are molded into the windscreens also.....I may take a stab at removing them and polishing out the scratches so I can install real wipers..........we'll see.:thumb2: Rick H.
I think I have solved the nose fit problem........I discovered when installing the cockpit/interior module (for a trial fit) that the gap got even worse. After further investigation I found that there were a few raised "Dots" inside the fuselage that collided with the module so ground them off then I noticed that one side of the bulkhead that separated the cockpit from the W/O position in the nose, was contacting the inside of the r/h fuselage half so out came the file and Voila (pronounced "Wa La" for those wot ain't cultured) and problem solved....not perfect but will work for my purposes. Next will be the interior painting as soon as I can whip up some of that funky Rooskie turquoise cockpit paint. Rick H.
Hi Chris, where ever you wish to park yourself is all right by me. As to your question I'll let the pic. do the talking. I just finished shooting the interior with the closest thing I have to Rooskie Turquoise.....in this scale I think it will pass muster, if not, oh well.
Rick H.
Thanks JR, now all I need to do is finish it off inside so's I can join the 2 halves and move on to the next little nightmare project.

What's all this " Now that we're all here" bol****s? .... Closed shop is it ?!!!.....
.... Guess I'll just have peer through the garden window then eh?
Apologies Mr. Smitt, I'm suffering from too many on the go at one time......should get something up in a day or two. A bit slow going at the moment. Rick H.
Howdy! Well I have cobbled the cockpit as best I can......I found some old Micro scale decals for some 1/72 scale planes I had years ago......chopped them up and fitted to various panels in the cockpit....not too convincing but close enough for Government Work!! I really cheaped out on the set belts.......found 'em on the sheet and stuck 'em on ........two foot rule is in force here so keep yer distance and don't forget to squint!:tongue-out2:
