            Back to the bash at the deck, just used more turps and cotton buds to remove more wash, first photo is first go, 2nd is hopefully lighter and looks better???

                As i do not drink, must have been the wine gums!!

                    Firstly good see wonkiness syndrome is fixed....

                    As odd as it sounds, on my phone the second shot looks a bit darker if anything....it might be my phone though....I quite liked the first attempt in any case.

                    Sorry I can't be of more help.

                      Bobm8ty them plankin deckes look just rght as due to the whearthering an crews feet stompini up an down they would be sort of dark so you are on he right track so dont worry about goin wrong this is magic MEIN HERR carry on boyo im following along as are the others

                        HI STEVE if i remember rightly when i was on her about 20 yrs ago her deck were steel an painted green like my tiger

                              I think I would expect lighter, as salt spray would lighten wood? The Graf was diesel powered so no coal to dirty the deck.

                                The photo is not the best and it does look lighter. Very pleased with the tonal variation of the planks but do think it should be a few shades lighter.

                                Will thin the deck wash for the rest of the deck, remember folks it a practice kit!!
