Have to admit the re-paint is nearer the colour it should be. Well caught old chap!
While we are on the subject. The seat would have either been Polyoxybenzylmethylenglycolanhydride, that's bakelite to you and me, and would have been a dark reddish brown. or metal and painted same colour as the cockpit. leather brown back cushion.

Lovely work so far. Pilot looking good, and second cockpit colour looks spot on to me. It’s interesting how the internals on yours differ from mine as well.

Got this all buttoned up, and canopy masked and fitted. Also got the wings, wheels and an intake put together.

Thanks Colin, it’s not one of Airfix’s better kits, a little bit of work required, but it’s going together nicely. Some filling and sanding required.

Got the wings fitted, not too bad a fit, there’s a large gap where it joins the underside, but some plasticard sorted that out. I’ve also added some mesh to the intake before the lid goes on.
