Well, just over a month on, and here’s where we are. There are a couple of seams that could use a bit more work, but this thing has sucked enough life force out of me, I think I’ll live with them.
The sky underside was painted yesterday and tonight will be the first part of the camouflage.
    Right, I’m going in.

The green was completed last night. Tonight’s adventure will be getting grey through the airbrush!

Well I keep chipping away at this one, but seem to forget to update this thread.
The Seafire is all painted, decaled and I’m now starting a bit of weathering. From what I’ve seen on line, these could be quite tatty aircraft. Now that surprised me.

Lovely stuff Colin, those decals look to have settled down very nicely to fit the plane's contours

Well Andy, you might have heard my grumblings about this old kit. However, the decals are a fairly recent print, well compared to the mold anyway. Would you believe it, they didn't want to part company with the backing paper. Yes, even the decals decided to throw me a curve ball so close to the finish line. Once persuaded off the backing paper, they did behave quite well. There's a bit of raised detail to contend with, but the decals behaved quite nicely.

Its been a bit of a slog. I actually finished it last night. So I'm doing the 'walk away and leave alone' thing, just to see if I have definitely finished - I think I have !
