For every wrong bit you sort is one less wrong bit you gotta sort! And your doing a nice job of sorting it :thumb2:

Kind of a long row to hoe, but it is looking really good with all the added detail! It can be a fun challenge to take an old kit and dress it up and make it look far better than it was ever intended. Very impressive so far, waiting to see more.

Lots of relatively small things to do but I can imagine they all take a lot of time. It is worth it though as it's really taking shape now.

Thanks a lot Guys...really appreciated. I will keep "plugging" away at this and hopefully it won't look too bad when it's finished. The focal point of the whole build will be the area around the cargo door where the casualties will be loaded so the rest of this bird is just back drop material anyway. But that comes later when I get to the Diorama build. BTW, I did a quick calculation of the base size needed the other day and with its wingspan, this is the maximum sized aircraft that will fit in my display cabinet, that is, if I want the door to close!

I got the underside of the wings and fuselage shot with Duck Egg Blue. Tomorrow I'll get the topside shot in one of them Luftwaffe gray colors or RLM somethingorother.....I know a lot of these birds were all white with red crosses......boring. I'm going tor the converted military transport look......so it will probably have a "Swisstaki" on the tail and red crosses on the wings and fuselage. And don't sweat the gaps in the lower fuselage and empinage areas, this thing is never gonna fly inverted and I am at the end of my patience with this ill fitting B*GGER! Thanks JR. Yes, things are rather "dull"......oh, yer talkin' 'bout the paint! :rolling: Right, I'm not looking forward to the decals on this corrugated surface and there's a bunch to go on and they're big, so my patience will be tested, I'm sure.

Despite the issues you are having that is really looking good.

Hi Scottie, Next step in the build will be to finish the insides and get it buttoned up. The fit of the overhead is horrible so will require some filling and touchup.......the torture never stops :tongue-out3:
