I have to agree about the box art though- it's rather a high bar for me :tired:

        Considerably shorter!
She is 54mm he is 63mm
        that would make her 1.728 meters (5'7 3/4"), and him a massive 2.016meters (6'71/4")
So possibly not strictly1-32 scale, then....

she's actually quite tall for a girl of the time. My Grandson (16) is 6'7" and I'm 5'8" so it's not inconceivable at all.
When he hugs me I feel like a hobbit hugging Gandalf :tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:! (he's not allowed to do it in public now)

I'm pleased to say that I've painted Fanny's face, and it's come out rather better than I had dared hope

I've started on the dreaded white bits (not THOSE white bits :rolling: ) as well, and I'm happy with them too. Now you can see that the primer is actually grey (Vallejo) and not white.
I'm using Peter Day's approach of working from the top down to avoid leaving finger marks or rubbing the paint off.
I must say I had thought about removing the head to make it easier to paint but I decided to just crack on. I kind of wish I had done it now because I found painting the definition between neck and collar very tricky- it would not have been a problem if they were separate.
              Note to self....
              Cheers
              Neil

PS just in case some of you have not joined the dots, there was also a unit called the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry...or FANY

That looks very good indeed - great job.
Have you considered including a bottle of paint in a pic, for scale? You'll boost levels of appreciation for sure!

Agreed…she is only a bit bigger than a Vallejo bottle after all……

It really helps that this is a truly excellent sculpt

Nice Neil, of course not a patch on Matron figure wise.
