I hope the little SBS will be of use one day.

Meanwhile just about finished his uniform now. Done with Crafting acrylics, Jo Sonja acrylics, gold printers ink and acrylic ink.

A little bit of tidying up to do, then on to the fun stuff.

A great result John, I'm looking forward to seeing how you do his face.

Very informative John, thanks . Starting to look really good with the colour following the first coats as you described.

Well I think the major work is done. The hat is not glued on yet, but next on to priming etc. I wonder what colour to paint him...oh wait I think RED might work!

Yet another piece of Witchcraft that blows my tiny little mind. I think the name of this forum needs to changeโ€ฆ

If it can help anyone my basic flesh tone is made of Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, White and a small touch of Pthalo blue (or any dark blue would work). I paint this over the whole face following the old pattern, Forehead a little more yellow, middle face a little more pink ( I add a little Alizarin crimson here) and lower face a little more blue. Then its just a matter of adding highlights and shadows. I usually finish the eyes with a little drop of UV resin to add the shine.

My goodness Mr. B, This Mounty is truly a work of art!!! Your sculpting skills never cease to amaze me. And it's done so quickly too. Either you have so much snow that you can't go outside, or your Mojo is soaring at 30,000 feet. Absolutely another masterpiece, Sir!!!

                            Prost

Thanks Allen you are too kind. IT's not so much high mojo as a very short attention span. Also my wife has taken our granddaughter to Disney world so I can spend as much time at the bench as I like.
