        Looking good Tony :thumb2:

It’s very bright though, are you needing to wear sunglasses when working on it ? :tears-of-joy:

        Geoff.

The chopper has now had a misting of white primer ( vallejo polyurethane acrylic - rubbish really , extremely transparent , would have needed about 10 coats to cover the yellow !) . Next up is blasting it with some Hycote acrylic aerosol , FIAT broom yellow. Click image for larger version

Careful! I've only force-dried a model once, with a fan heater on its lowest setting - warped the undercarriage on an Eduard La-7!

Yes ive made that mistake before too pete , with the Eduard mig21 - melted the nose ring trying to dry a touch up before taking pics . Needless to say I had to repair it ( after attempting to kick my self in the backside!)

I usually dry painted models in front of a fan heater during winter, but always at more than 1.5 meters away. The main airflow hits the ground 1 meter in front of the fan, thus the model is not directly affected by the hot air flow.

Bit chilly there Tony? Humidity has been my paint enemy lately.

Hardened off nicely now and masking removed . The window openings need a clean up then its time to get all the transparencies fitted. Click image for larger version

Transparencies now all fitted . After removing from the sprue and cleaning up I decided to paint all the edges of the clear parts with black to reduce the silvering /distortion effect once glued . Theyve now all been fitted and dont look too bad at all. A little bit of clean up might be required once the glue has set but I’m quite pleased with how they went. Next up is painting the windscreen divider and fitting the seperate windscreen wipers .BTW , looking at the sprues its apparent that this is a matchbox tooling ( square section sprues and a PK number ) from about 1988 I believe , so its not a bad fit for a 35 year old tooling !Click image for larger version

That does look a lot like a Matchbox sprue, yes. And indeed, from 1988.
