There were two version of this car, the one from the opening credits, and then they had to recreate it for the final scenes. Eagle eyed people will spot a lack of plate on one with the reg number directly mounted to the grill, which looks kewl so will be my approach.
Have found a 1/24 resin figure of Number 6, but he's a bit pricey.

Loved that program. It was just so “sixties”……my wife hated it though :cold-sweat:

One I’ve been wanting to build for a while, the other came to me as I was thinking about the subject of this group build. Anyone care to guess what they will be? The paint is a clue for one of the two :smiling3:

Yep, it will be — I had been meaning to buy a Gnat and paint it like in Hot Shots, and then I found this one that even includes decals for it

I’m kind of wondering if I should also add Topper’s father’s eyes …

Ok Jakko my friend have stirred my mojo up on this GB been wanting to build this for a while and coincidentally this Revell Model is from the same year the TV series was running but it was the last season 1978. I had this Model when I was around 9 or 10 years old built it straight out of the box. I used to watch this TV series I think it came on every Wednesday night. So if you don’t mind I would like to join in with this one. Click image for larger version

Nice, I like the F4U Corsair, but with a model like this, of course, I’ll stress that you should finish it like one of the prominent planes in the show

Like the others said, though, I’ve never seen the show — I’ve read about it, mainly in relation to reading about the F4U, but no idea what it was actually like.
