Ford Race Red is a good one, or their Colorado if you want it a bit more orange.

Just don't melt it with the rattle can :smiling5:

Red and yellow paints usually cover very poorly regardless of what type of paint it is, yes. Model paints certainly are no different from ones for full-sized subjects.

TBH, with this model I’m kind of wondering why Andy (non-T ) put primer on the body at all … With that bright red plastic, I might even have tried just clear over all of it. Probably testing it on the inside of the bonnet first

The reason for priming was because of all the mold lines I had to sand off.

Coming along very nicely Andy. As for the paint, I used Tamiya X7 on my fire engine builds and needed to spray a couple of coats.

Playing ketchup, Andy and the chassis on its wheels is looking great Sir!!! As for the body, maybe just shoot a good coat of gloss on her and do the decals. I would think that after 100 laps in a 500 lap race, the oil, dirt, rubber chunks and dust would coat the finish and it wouldn't have a showroom shine anyway...Just a thought..........

Ah, yes, that makes sense. Certainly wouldn’t want to use the bare plastic in that case, no. I suspect yours will be the most carefully built one of these kits there is

                  Very cool Andy!

Hope you manage to match the colour a bit more to your liking.

All built and ready to race.

I think it turned out OK although it is a very simple snap fit kit but I did glue some parts to make sure it did not fall apart when pressing things together.
Not seen it mentioned but should these builds go in the completed section of the forum?

                    Andy.

Great work Andy, and yes they go into the GB completed section, if you go to the civilian car build then completed it should then say at the top completed GB 2017 onwards.
