This really is the kit that just keeps on giving. It’s giving me headaches, nightmares and the ability to get very constructive with swear words. It really isn’t one for people who like rapid progress but like to get the parts together so they look good. So far every two part piece has required quite a bit of extra work on fit and seam lines. The vague destructions also caused me another colourful outburst but I guess I must take some blame. When assembling the wheel hubs I got them cleaned up and undercoated. Checked the colour call out which is metallic silver, not a problem, got them painted and put the tyres on. Fortunately before fixing them on I had to check a part against the final colour sheet, the wheels are black , oh well at least they weren’t attached to the chassis, here’s where I am now.

Go for it PeterComment

You are beating it though.
I am concluding that the fact that Italeri have pretty much the market in these, they are resting on their laurels.
Mine is also a bit of a flash kit. The fit is pretty good though.
You can beat this Mick.Comment

I think you’re right Ian, minimal competition so if you want to build trucks here we areComment

Just caught up on your build, I think the twist in the chassis stems from the first days of production. I remember all of Italeri's trucks had it. Keep at it Mick, watching with interest. Will it be a UK or European truck?Comment

just little steps with this one Michael, lots of dry fitting and alterations. This one is going to be a European version. I have a right hand conversion kit as I was planning another UK Scania but we shall see how my sanity survives.Comment

They do build up into a good size chunk.
Are you going with the tamiya pale blue pearl?Comment

It is definitely a solid chunk now that I've got everything nice and secure. I am certainly going ahead with the box colour, not sure how easy it will be but who needs easy when you can have a challenge.Comment
