Nice improvements. This short wheelbase version was most often used as an arty prime mover, like other prime movers (Mack & Corbit) the dual spares are in case of deep mud or snow, as they could be attached to the front axle for additional traction.

I have seen pictures of that. There are also pictures of a track to go round the wheels on the twin axle versions.

The chassis is now done. I have added a few rivets that were missing. I haven't added air lines or detailed up the brake cylinder as they won't be seen. I did add the front suspension tie bolts as the kit ones had a large gap around the joint. Finally some brake lines. They are held out the way with springs on the real thing I might give them ago later.





Tomorrow hopefully will be a pre shade then a base coat.

A little bit done on the cab, not to much but as the cupola is open and I may have a door open as well. Mainly just fixings on the floor plates.



Then the detail around the rear window. In the corners of the cab were some really bad injector marks but hopefully they look better now.

Cheers Rick, they were a pain to remove but they were easily seen through the openings.

Great stuff Scottie. Ejector pin marks on the inside of curves is one of my pet hates. Sanding/scraping, whether filler or raised plastic, is a real pain.

Jim, your right and it seems the harder they are to get to the deeper they are.
