Airborne's 'Stuka zu Fuss'. Dragon 1/35

Waiting eagerly for the starting gun I thought I'd post the sprue shots of my victim. Dragon 6861 SdKfz 251/1 Ausf D mit 28/32 Wurfrahmen. Usual clean Dragon casting, plethora of unused parts and duplication of sprue identifying letters - 15 marked 'A' for example! 2 bags of Magic Tracks and same again on the sprues, clear sprue, decals, small PE fret and a 'Silver Sticker' (use unclear at the moment ) Diorama background still lurking in the 'little grey cells' for the moment

Been working for the school so that has restricted bench time; however I've had the odd half-hour here and there but the progress was minimal so haven't posted. Bit of a spurt yesterday and here it is: primary interior weathering and running gear done - the dreaded tracks next! Looking forward to finishing the basic vehicle and getting on with the rocket attachments - looks fiddly and delicate! Will post detail shots prior to starting assembly. There are 12 rockets supplied (6 of each calibre (28 and 32 cm)) but curiously no decals! Acting on info from the forum members I bought MiniArt 'German Rockets - mostly for the decals. Thinking I was clever I ordered two boxes ?. There are 24 in each so I now have 60 rockets! This has necessitated a rethink of the ultimate diorama; a resupply near a farmhouse springs to mind with 3t trucks, trailers, storemen, and officious officers (of course!) May even to be able to include some flak if size permits. So here it is so far.

              Steve,
Count me in mate, I'm looking forward to see what you do with this. I built the Tamyia offering years ago.

That is some wheel arrangement. Nice weathering too. Looking great so far.

Try again, hit the wrong button and I had a wipe-out! Anyway minimal progress and (hopefully) some more bench time soon!

The paint finish looks awful but is'n't nearly that bad - anyway, this is prelims - much more work to do but in reality it's looking rather as I've envisaged it (battered and well used like me!)

Looks fine to me. Often these things were pretty beaten up once they'd been in the field a while.

Nice work Steve, looking suitably used and abused ?

Coming close to completion; needs the weathering to be modified and some more internal stowage - this will be followed by the building of the diorama scenario, I'm thinking a resupply location with a more relaxed feel, perhaps in a ruined industrial site. There are several dozen more rockets to build and, of course, personnel! I have included some decals on the rockets and the fire extinguishers, curiously there are no license plates or unit markings but only tactical markings (which I realised later were in the wrong location - too far forward - oh dear, how sad, never mind!) The base is just a temporary one for display. C&Cs very welcome.
