Sorry Andy, I fell behind on this for a little while, but....Damn Buddy, you have been very busy. The detailing of the interior is incredible and probably costed a few nerves too!!! Fine paint and decaling as only you can do and the motor is tops. Looking over the last few pics, the only thing I see wrong is, there's no door handles on it....Or am I jumping the gun about that....

Once in the car they aren't allowed out until they've won the stage, then the mechanics will open the doors with a magic key.

Either that or I forgot to paint them (and the mirrors) until last night... :nerd:

The rear side windows were fun, with an etch grill and a transparent air scoop. The kit also supplies some sub-millimetre etch fixings for around the edge but that isn't going to happen lol. I'll give them a blob of silver paint instead, same for the other windows.

I've also finished the front bumper & light pod:

And I've decided not to add any droop to the suspension. If I ever want to display it on the ground it would look weird, so I've been cleaning up all of the substantial mould lines ready for a splash of paint. The hub & disc assembly has a poly cap inside for attaching the wheels:

It looked good when I was looking on my phone earlier. Now I've had a chance to have a re-read on my laptop!! WOW, just doesn't do the work justice. Damned amazing Andy - amazing. Your attention to detail and finesse - outstanding.

            Thank you very much Doug!

I've done that myself sometimes - "liked" a post but reserved comment until I've seen the pictures on a bigger screen. Trouble is I tend to forget what I was supposed to be looking at by the time I get home

Suspension parts are now painted. A couple of touch ups are still needed but I'll save those until it's installed, in case I slap glue everywhere!

The rear goes in as a subframe assembly, but needs threading through carefully. The front is rather more complex, with various stages and some metal pins to tie parts together. Deep breath needed for that stage :surprised:

The etch disks with a different drill pattern for each corner are a nice touch

Indeed, I have an urge to get my spring compressors and grab my torque wrench. Very realistic.

Uhh Doug, you can get your spring compressors, but please keep you hands off your torque wrench...As Jim said in my build, this is a family site, Sir............

The suspension is now fitted. Just as fiddly as I'd imagined but I got there.

I notice I didn't do a great job of cleaning up the front subframe but luckily the undershield comes to my rescue

I've just had a bit of an oops moment. I opened the packet containing the mirror decals and what I thought was just the usual protective paper turns out to be a mask for the windscreen :tears-of-joy:
