That's a big tea bag investment Andy if the prices round my way are anything to go by.....

That's a great looking paint job Andy. Glad the decals are going on fine.

          Thanks again guys.

My wife saw the tea bags at a bargain price and even did the calcs, working out how much per brew it would save us. Bless :tears-of-joy:

Decals have gone better than expected. The kevlar undertrays were by far the most difficult and the grill was always going to be tricky, coming in 8 pieces, but that'll be mostly hidden by the night lighting rig anyway.

One thing I can't really pick up very well on camera is how the microsol has stained the Tamiya blue paint (but not the Mr Color white)

I'm hoping the lighter spots will come out with time, heat, or polishing. Otherwise it might be dirtier than I'd planned!

Thanks for the great comments and continued support.

Some light polishing has removed the spots thankfully. A bit scary working around the fresh decals but it had to be done. I'll be glad to get them sealed in with clearcoat then I can get back to working on the interior.

That is looking fantastic Andy, well done mate.
Strength isn't about what you can do, rather it's about overcoming what you thought you couldn't do.

                              Thanks Garry.

With the gloss coat done I'm now moving on to the interior (working backwards compared to an aircraft etc).

I'm sorely tempted to remove the sections highlighted here.

There's nothing there on the real car, you are straight at the engine once the rear clam is opened but I'm assuming it has been included for some rigidity in the model.

If I were cutting the tailgate to make it opening then it would be an obvious decision. It's still slightly visible through the grills when closed up but I'll have a ponder and decide whether to amputate later, or just paint it black. Since it supports the exhausts it's not as simple as it could be, but if I can work out a different way to keep those square I may be chop shopping.

How about a diagonally braced space frame?

Looking very nice, still can't get over how great the engine looks.
