I didn't really want to go there lol. I've noticed a few braces that are missing compared to the real thing and once I start I'd probably end up remaking most of the tub :tears-of-joy:
My current thinking is a halfway house - remove the upper part that will serve no purpose once the car is built, but paint the lower strip (that supports the exhaust) black.Comment

Well this is how it turned out after just removing the top part. When you think the view through the upper grill was completely obscured, I think it's a worthwhile improvement for little work.
If the engine can still be seen once the mesh is on is another story :tears-of-joy:
I've also finished the seats, ready for the fabric & pe harnesses. Black primer with Mr color gx black gloss on the backs and matt varnish on the fronts to try and represent the alcantara fabric a bit.

It looks like it was probably for the better that you did decide to cut away the bits visible through the grille, yes.Comment

I am glad that turned out for you Andy. Totally agree with you. That has added a real element of realism to the car.SteveComment

Beautiful job on the decals, Andy and she really shines with a polish!!! Uhh, did you say you were going to wax it too??? What!!! You gonna slap a coat of Turtle wax on it. Never knew you could do that with a model my friend...
If you do wax it, might I suggest you don't use the buffer out of the shop for the job though...
Prost
