Looks fine under its coat of primer.

Thanks Allen & Jim.
Despite being a huge Audi & Peugeot 205 fan (and ex-owner of both) the 6R4 just had something about it, like the Jack Russel of Group B rallying.
A company called MST is trying to ressurect them by building a brand new carbon fibre shell. Powered by a more modern, supercharged Audi V6, and up to date mechanicals and electronics, it ought to be even more nuts than the original, but at a rumoured 1/3 million at least I doubt I'll be getting one any time soon!Comment

Oh, come on Andy.....Just write 'em a check and one will be yours...........Hmm...I wonder how many years you'd get in the slammer for that???...Life's to short to be a sheep...Comment

Thanks.
It seems to be the way that the regular car modellers work - get the exterior paint done first, or at least early, then get the other stuff done while waiting for it to cure, decals, clearcoat etc.
It works for them so thought I'd give it a try.Comment

Thanks Ian.
Incremental update. The white paint arrived for this today. Mr Color GX, which was applied in 3 coats, with 10 minutes in between each. It was thinned ~ 1:2 with levelling thinner.
I also tried out the Tamiya spray bomb blue on a couple of parts. I'm pleasantly surprised and probably won't bother decanting & airbrushing it for the main body.
I also started putting a few of the accessories from the Tamiya figure set together. Weird silvery plastic :confounded:
