I will admit I will not be participating but I will be following along. Some of these machines are awesome. Way beyond my current skill set.

Doug, you never know until you try - some biplane models aren't that difficult, the Roland CII in 1/72 or 1/48 for example is pretty simple,

Yes, but 12 rigging wires on the wings! Scary.

That’s the one in my stash……don’t want to scare Pete, but there are actually 16 rigging wires on the wings LOL…..good looking aircraft though.

Well, there are a few around -
Revell 03965 Roland C.ii Model Kits. KingKit are UK specialist suppliers of new and used Aircraft model kits.

I have the Eduard Weekend version in the stash - I've just looked at it & I don't think it needs any PE! The Revell boxing is exactly the same plastic.

Oh no! I love helping people spend their money - I hate to think of modellers struggling to find the model they really want to buy.

It... It's NOT? I thought that was the point?

Hmm, at least I'VE never rigged a 1/300 Swordfish. I've seen it done

This is only a PART of my RAF silver wings stash.

The Horsley is a vacform, so a bit of an outlier for this go. Haven't done a vac in a LONG time.
And I've never actually finished one...

Maybe I should take a vote...

                            Or go with this

Or, go with the 1/32 CR.32.

Wow! - The Contrail Hawker Horsley was one of my more successful vacforms! - sometime in the 80's - the reason I built it was that my mothers' maiden name was Horsley! Vacforms were the only way to make the more obscure aircraft ( short of scratching ), pretty much a dying art.....................

Dave, may I ask why you used the word 'Contrail' in reference to the Horsley. :thumb2: Thank you.
