Great result Neil. It was worth the effort to get those guns inside the protective cover. It has really added an air of realism to the model and the end picture of them all stood together really highlights your hard work and attention to detail.

I’ve been putting it off but I had to start eventually- the weathering.
I had planned to leave it until everything was together but I realised that was utter folly . There’s so much stuff on top of stuff that I need to do the ‘background’ parts before they become inaccessible. So I did some experiments on my old test piece and then dived right in with the superstructure.
This is just the first stage-there’s still rust etc to apply - but this is going to take a while so I thought I had better post some WIP pics .
It’s not quite as contrasty as the pics are showing, although the short wall, being forward facing, is more heavily weathered than the longer side wall, which is more sheltered by the deck above.
That’s it for now ,busy family weekend ahead - daughter’s 40th and son-in-law’s 30th(not a toy boy, he’s married to a different daughter).
