That's come along a lot, and looking great.
As for the fence, I bet once it's painted and maybe got a bit of greenery growing up, it'll blend right in.Comment

Been a Tolkienite since a very-very young age. Read some of his lesser known books too. Lucky enough to have met the chap too. A chance meeting indeed, my best man was JRR’s sons neighbour and the great man was visiting him when I popped round to my BM’s place.
Not the biggest fan of the films but the books are just fantastic. Your diorama Jack is not only a great idea but already is looking splendid. I’ll be no help at with its build as I don’t nor have ever attempted a dio but look forward to following this one.👍 2Comment

The joys of WFH when you are waiting on other people, I actually got quite a lot done today. I'm so far pretty damn pleased with the way this is going. Still plenty of gardening to do, and I'm starting to realise what a monster job painting it is going to be. None of the current colours (despite them not being all that bad, pretty spot on in places) will be staying.

That’s excellent Jack. Really brings the idea to life. Personally, I like the wicker fence, by the way…..
Agree with you ref the Jackson films…..first hobbit was decent, but the others gradually got worse…..the last is unwatchable in my opinion….recent TV series isn’t the greatest either. Looks great but the storytelling is rather sluggish….Comment

I think, once everything is set, we will be ready for primer. There is more static grass on my desk than on the foam.
