Hi Jack,
Have only just seen your thread, just read through. A great idea to recreate, must say you have done a remarkable job in doing so. I remember when the first film in the Trilogy was released there were numerous dioramas appearing everywhere of Hobbiton but frankly there were few if any that i saw that compared to your piece. Great work on the stonework path and steps, I include the excellent little wicker fence in that. What is the icing on the cake, is your superb grasp of groundwork greenery is subtle in its tones adding to the realism, all topped off with the bits of strong colour here and there lend themselves to a very convincing little part of the Shire. I am sure your name should be up there with the greatest gardeners of Middle Earth alongside Gaffer and Sam Gamgee. Fantastic job ???.
