    After a light panel line wash this has had 2 coats of matt varnish and is drying now . The next stage is the undercarriage and exhausts then its just about done . I’m not going to weather the model much as this being a trial aircraft it wont have seen any active service , probably just used as a squadron hack. Click image for larger version

              Yes it was the only hurricane in RAAF colours joe , later on they painted it silver . The RAAF did operate hurricanes in North Africa but they were in RAF camo and serials , this one was the only one to ever be painted in the foliage green /earth brown / sky blue scheme .

                After fitting the undercarriage and aerial ,with wire , it was time to look at the final few tiny details. I added rudder control cables and the gunsight bead using toothbrush bristles , scratched a rear view mirror and the horseshoe shaped retractable step. I glazed the position light on the rudder and the morse code light on the top of the spine with pva canopy glue. Then it was time to unmask the canopy and fit it.Click image for larger version
