Only just super glued Cadburys foil wrapping on the back of the tiny rear view mirror. Here are the two tiniest scratches I've made...gun sight and the rear view mirror for the Hurricane. You can just see the gold backing on the rear of the mirror...

Thanks Paul, had the pieces cut earlier but had to make a visit to the stationary shop for some superglue.

Thanks Paul II, tried a new brand of superglue called Sticko all written in Thai I think. Pretty good, able to adjust a little with good adhesion. It does fog quite a bit.

                    Thanks Scottie and Tony,
I had a wonderful Christmas eve at the hospital emergency when I accidentally sliced off the tip of my third finger on the potatoe slicer. Hazards of cooking I suppose. Thought I needed stitches as there was a little bit of bone visible. X-rays were done, tetanus, pain relief injections were administered and the surgeon was called. Thankfully he was practical and said if I can live with an odd nail growth I won't need surgery(choterizing the bleed) as the tip would eventually grow back if a special dressing was applied to the wound to stop the bleeding. Testing the dressing for 10 minutes, the bleed did not show through the gauze.
Just as a precaution he set an appointment to see him this Thursday and should I bleed anytime in between yesterday and Thursday to come back immediately and he'll perform the surgery.
He wrapped my finger with the special dressing in two layers of gauze and compression bandages with instructions to remove the second dressing layer the next morning to check for bleeding and the first layer was dry and clean. No trace of blood or stains so I look forward to tomorrow's appointment to what's the next procedure.

Hope all goes ok Richard. Unfortunately that will curtail your modelling for a while.

Hope it heals well Richard. I sliced the top of a finger to the bone with a power planer aa few years ago, and it grew back but was very sensitive for about a year.

Ouch ! Been there done that richard . Thirty odd years ago took the top 3/4 inch off the same finger and went halfway through the pinkie . They flipped the top of the pinkie and sewed it back but the end of the third finger disappeared up the extractor , never to be seen again!
hopefully youll be back in action soon , speedy recovery and stay out of the kitchen in the mean time.

Quite a potatoe slicer horror story Richard! Hope it will heal soon, thankfully those people at the hospital keep on working during the holidays ? Take care!
