Cool, always lusted after an E type, but with my earnings, it was never gonna be on the cards, sadly.... Looks like a nice little build. Good luck with it.

Still one of the best looking road cars ever produced IMO. Following the build Ian.

Nice kit to build with few issues, the major problem I encountered were the hinge pins for the bonnet were very weak (replaced with brass rod) and closing the bonnet properly if adding HT leads.
Good luck with the build, will be following avidly.

When I was competitively slalom canoeing in the early '60's / thru the '70's. My mate bought what was then the one of the first E' Types to be seen in and around Chester.

Unfortunately he rather spoilt the image by attaching a roof rack to the car and constantly carrying two canoes about on it!

Look forward to the rather nostalgic build Ian. It's brought back great memories of easy and fun times......

Perhaps the best known of all British sports cars. Many years ago in the late 60s I got a summer job at a very large market garden. The very wealthy owners had a daughter and as a 21st birthday present her parents bought her a red E-type convertible. Her name was Katherine and the number plate on the car was KAT1E. I remember the car was something to drool over but unfortunately the same could not be said for its owner

Made a start on this one, I’ve got the engine built and painted, also go the body work first coat on.
