Thanks for your support Gents. I was getting the parts together for the steering controls and noticed these rather prominent injector pin marks...

As these would be on top and rather rather visible, they needed dealing with and this is where those punch and die tools really are your best friend. Two 0.8mm discs of 0.3mm sheet and they're gone...

This next pic shows all the steering arms in place with a couple of cocktail sticks stopping the drop-arms sagging until the glue sets..

I also made an attempt at battery terminals...

That's it for now. Thanks as always for looking in....

I'd love something like this in 1/35 for a future diorama, that is starting to come together really well!

Thanks Steve. I built the Airfix boxing of Thunder models 1/35 airfield tractor a few years back - a nice kit but much more fiddly and fragile than this.

Some great mods onto what already looks like a well detailed kit. Nice work.

Thanks Paul. A trailer or farm implement of some sort would really set it off.

Bit more construction done. All the small parts have now been added, which is making the model a little difficult to handle. I had another go at the battery terminals to make them a bit smaller and then started with the earth connection which terminates on the bell housing.

My battery terminal attempts still look a little over size, but I'm not sure i could make anything smaller.

I still need to have a go at the positive lead which should go to the starter relay and then the starter motor itself although I haven't been able to see exactly where the relay is located - maybe on the back of the instrument panel but will be obscured by the other gubbins.

We're getting quite close to paint!

      Thanks for looking in.

The starter relay & assoc. wiring was mounted on top of the transmission just to the rear of the bell housing. Prolly not seen when battery & toolbox installed.

i have begun the process of splashing the wet stuff about. Firstly a prime with Mr Surfacer Black. Then with white sprayed on the tops. This followed by a nice covering of the Zero paints Ferguson Grey.

Great project Nick. I do like a grey fergie, I've painted up a few of them in my time. The full sized ones are a bit less fiddly!
