Looking good Bob. What paints do you use? I'm just using rattle cans from the local motor factors but I don't think it's as flat as that

That's looking great Bob. I really like the colour of the wheels.

        Cheers gents.

Hecky, they are Proscale paints, they do manufacturer correct colours. These were Porsche Ice Grey for the body and Porsche Pyro Red for the wheels (which I also used on the roll cage).

They go on nice, you have to apply several light coats (I think the body was 7 or 8 coats total), leaving about 5 minutes in between. They dry matt, so a gloss coat is necessary.

Thanks Bob, I've never heard of Proscale so I'll check them out. I'm guessing they also provided your clear coat.

I've been using PMA paints but the colours are quite limited

              Cheers gents.

George, they do offer a 2K clear coat, however as a dining room modeller with kids, cats and an asthmatic wife I don't use 2K as I understand it can be quite nasty. My go to clear is Mr Color GX-113.

Pushed on with adding the glass, wing, mirrors and plethora of grilles and intakes yesterday and am almost at the finish line. Just the aero to go on, then it's done.

I decided to fit the body to the chassis before adding the last parts, some of them are very small with tiny gluing surfaces, and I could foresee me knocking them off trying to get the body on if fitted later.
