I like the idea, and your rust looks great, what I normally do is sprinkle little bits of debris about, in your case maybe little pieces of tree bark or dried weed roots {drift wood} for veg {any kind} I use little weedy stuff growing about, dried and sprayed {dull coat} and can be painted to eliminate that too green look, plus it looks much better than plastic aquarium plantsComment

Have gone back to this and faffed about. The rust has been added to and re-washed in places. The green (aquarium plants-in fact that is what they areare gone) they have been replaced with reed grass and some small growth.
