    Tamiya 1/35 Panther tank

    Hello fellow Modelers,

Here is my completed Tamiya 1/35 Panther Tank. This is part of my Panther tank Diorama for the WWII Panzers GB. At the time of posting this the diorama is still under construction. This post is only to show the tank which has been built, and so is a standalone post in its own right.

    Build Summary

The kit itself was not the most detailed. The fit though was very good. It is an old mold from 1969, for its age the detail is good. I built this OOB. With regards to the build this I tried a few new things.. I pre-shaded and used a new flat coat from Alkad II. Both were successful so I am happy with that. The kit was painted using Tamiya enamels mostly. The black on the tyres was painted using acrylics. The model was sealed in Alklad II flat coat. Weathering was done using Vallejo Model washes and Tamiya Weathering master sets.

Hi Bob, how strange this seems to have gotten overlooked.

Superb model a Panther A, lovely work, any criticism on my part is that it looks too clean

Quality build and I like this very much.

I agree with Si sweet build but a little clean, Maybe a little rust or browning on the exhaust stack's & a light wash would do the trick.

Thanks all. I decided in my initial diorama plan that weathering would be kept to a minimum for this one, and hence the clean look.

It looks great for its age.

I missed this too Bob. I like the way you have blended the colours in without going over the top with the weathering, fresh out of the factory and ready for action.
