    Sd.Kfz.184 Elefant from Tamiya

    Hi all,

We all have one of those kits that no matter what you do, nothing goes to plan. I had a Panther i started last year, got all the PE parts, the track links you know, all the bells and whistles to make a nice model. Do a bit and think "thats not right", put it away for a week or so. To cut a long story short, i put all the PE on got it in paint then the PE started falling off so back in the box it went.

So i needed something else to build, it was the Elefant. Straight out of the box build, the only addons was the sticky zimmerit that Tamiya and three PE parts. Now the zimmerit i thought i'd give it a go because it was new and i'm glad i did, just cut it out and stick it on. Even tried zenith highlighting for the first time on this one.

Any ways, i'll shut up and let you have a look.

And as always, Have fun, John

A big fantastic looking Elefant ( I've never built this kit ) but you have defo made me think again.
The Tamiya stick on Zimmerit seems easy ( you make it sound so .
                  Love the camo and weathering.
                  A very well made kit

                  Regards

                  Robert

Thanks everyone very much appreciated, glad you like it. And i've just noticed, i didn't paint the block of wood for the jack . Yes Robert, the "sticky Zim" is easy but on the Elefant i was building it has a different pattern on one side. So had to come off, even that was easy and no sticky residue.

                    Have fun, John
