1:35 TriStar Pz IA Breda conversion SCW

    Evening one and all
Finished this one earlier this year, as part of a GB for SCW on Armorama
    the victim

The scratch build turret with the turned breda barrel

I used the SCW AK paint set

    repainted this one by hand!
    finished photos
there is more weathering to be done to blend it into a base
All the weathering was done with pigments

And the build blog at a little place I know

    Steve,
Nicely executed. The road wheels caught my eye, love the way you modeled them to show different stages of wear.
    Well done,
    Rick H.

      Thanks Rick

Looking and the brutal close ups again reminded me that pigments alone are difficult to get a realistically weather finish, I pretty much knew it,
but just needed to prove it to myself!

Once the 3 figures and base are completed, I'll balance the finish some washes and oils.

      Regards

        Hi Steve,

Well done, looks good. I’ve not seen the Tristar Pz I before....hows was the assembly?

Another star piece. If it looks that good under the flash, it must look stonking in natural daylight. I never use flash these days - reveals stuff that just isn't there.

              Thanks chaps, much appreciated

Si, Tristar are great kits to build but the detail can be a little soft along with the plastic.

Occasionally they have a flat pack tub, which needs a little more TLC to align, but they do a good range of kits and are back as hobbyBoss, as I am sure you know.

Peter, it definitely looks better in real light, at arms length, but I do need to blend her again, into a base.

Bases and figures will be on the 2019 to do list, Fernando.

I need to get back on the figure painting horse and I have a series of builds which will need bases

Thank for the input, much appreciated

              Regards

You have been busy Steve. A very nice kit and a great finish. If you want alternatives to do dust finishes with this may be of use.

Look forward to seeing your next build:thumb2:
