IS-2mT model44/45 Soviet recovery vehicle. PST1/72 (part two of the three pigs trilogy)

Calling this one done ,I was rapidly losing intrest and beginning to cut corners so best to come away, this was the second build of a kit that was thrown up the back of the stash for being a disappointment upon opening the box, a right pig the first being the KV2 , both have been enjoyable builds and taught me not to be so lazy a little bit of head down get stuck in and the results will show plus treading where I didn't fancy ive learnt a few new tricks so result.

For something you didn’t really feel like finishing, it looks pretty good

          Hi David
Well I reckon that has come out very nicely. Extra good considering the size.

Thanks Tim at the moment ive really got back into it each build is for the moment just good old fun ive never counted rivets or given one about the shade of paint I use ,this and the last one were both that bad they were thrown up the back of the stash but I decided that I cant keep wasting money so dragged them out into the day light. Have started the third kit in the pig trilogy but that will be it then for a while ,I'll go back and get something nice from the stash. Dave

Cheers Jim i must admit there's something very special about the small scale stuff I love em ,well being a skin flint its probably more the fact I can get three or four for the price of a 35er ,though the price is creeping up as some of the big guns are dipping their toes into the72ers. That’s my attitude to modelling these days Dave. I’ve been down the rivet counting road, and all it brings is dissatisfaction.

You can't say that Bob the small parts are no smaller than the small parts in what I'd call leggo sçale(1/35) its just that there's lots of them but every man to his own ,I've quite a lot of leggo scalers in the stash I like to open the box and admire the parts but thats as far as it ever gets. Nice finish Dave.
I've tried working at this scale, but a little too small for me. Agree about getting value for money with this size.
. Seeing the detail you've managed to produce is worthy of the dogs award. Afraid at the moment I'm on the tab, but tomorrow I'll be on the pc.

I’ve always thought the same Dave. The smallest parts in Braille’s and Lego’s are about the same size, all that changes is the resolution of what you are building.
