    Takom 1/35 - M60A1

Takom 1/35 - M60A1 - Cold War US tanks are not my usual genre but I picked his up in a closing down sale at a "can't ignore" price.

Built OOB - not a bad kit - best thing about the kit is probably the one-piece tracks which are excellently moulded and join with steel pins rather than glue.

Not totally sure about the camouflage colours but I followed the instructions for the "yellow grey" MIG paint ( I had it already ) for the pale sand colour - before dirtying things up a bit it looked far too bright.

The camouflage looks OK to me. There was a fair amount of variation in the appearance of the colours in this pattern (and even more in the shapes: almost every vehicle was unique), but the sand was fairly pale and tan, rather than yellowish.

That's a nice build. The photos of the tank captured the features and colour very nicely, Mark.

Very nice mate - been meaning to build one of these (and the Walker Bulldog) for years - you've just tipped the balance in favour of doing just that! My Bank Manager sends his regards ...
