Hi guys, long time no see, hope you are doing well?
Anyway, I have been busy although slowly. My latest RC build is a SU76i, these are Russian repurposed PIII's, turrets removed and a casemate added with a 76.2mm gun. These are not to be mistaken as a tank destroyer they are SPG's. The Russians changed the electrics, new battery system added and made the suspension simpler due to original parts not being available. These tanks used in 43 and 44 and then used as training tanks. The crews loved them, quick, comfy and warm in winter with the petrol engine idling was much quieter than the diesels.
My model shows a PIII hull, scrounged from many bits from my dwindling spares boxes, the casemate is 3D and I scratch made many small detail parts. She is RC and the gun has a high intensity flash for effect fitted.
As with my tradition of making my vehicles personal to the crews this one is called 'Yana'.
