This is a model that has been in the making for over 10 weeks on and off, I got it this cheap as it had some damage and decided to really go all out in detailing.
Started well before Xmas, the cold, illness paused work on it. I actually finished the Chally 2 before this.
I got the tank and running gear. Metal tracks, sprockets, gearboxes, metal barrel and muzzle brake.
Tanks was then stripped and detailing began.
I made the rear lamp guards, cover stanchions on glacis plate, hangers, fender stays front and back, boxes made, new hanger for turret mounted track links, bow gun made, metal turret MG added, vision periscopes made, mantlet serial numbers added, mantlet and turret fastner and stays added for foul weather cover, new aerial mounts made, figures head replaced and correct helmet added, binoculars drilled out and epoxy added, beard added to commander and a total repaint. Total repaint with US Olive drab 1942, shaded and weathered, spot lamp scratch made. One thing I did was to try making my own rubber outers for the wheels, used a bike inner-tube and, they worked. I made the inside of the commanders hatch, soft padding for his head, the latches and the periscope. Just loads LOL.
A very time consuming project and the Chally was a nice distraction as I had had enough of looking at the thing.
Anyway, here she is 'BOB' 'Berlin Or Bust'.
