CDWs' Soviet BA-I (2013 non-tracked GB) finished images

After a struggle with the figures i'm calling this done, whinging aside i had fun with this as it was an unusual jobbie that needed a bit of research.

The basic story .... a group of foot soldiers seperated from their comrades come across an abandoned BA-I and after a few minutes twiddling with the electrics they get it going, the Corps Commander has crude experience of operating such vehicles and so they pile on board and set off to find their comrades, they stop occasionally for a quick smoke and some refreshments .... this depicts such a time where a couple of men are relaxing having a smoke and the remaining two are on watch.

Great subject Colin and nicely done. Top that off with the superb scenic setting and you have a winner, well done.

Excellent little diorama Colin...a nice relaxed scene.

Very nice greenery and the gate is hung the right way - Tony (yakface) will approve! -

I like the base surround, it finishes the model off nicely, it looks too thick for a picture frame, what is it?

          Big 5*

errrr ....It's a picture frame .... one of those "deep frame" types from B&M cheapo stores, £1.79 if memory serves.

                    Ian, Polux, Derek thankyou

I meant to mention that the kit went together quite well after flash-trimming. the decals however decided to destroy themselves as soon as they touched the water. I only managed to save and apply the turret and roof decals with lots of swearing and dummy throwing... even then i've had to touch them up a little.
