COMPLETED 'FORGOTTEN RELIC' UNIVERSAL CARRIER, 1/35 SCALE.

Apart from just staining the base I am calling this one done.

It is a 1/35 scale Universal Carrier, battle damage, stripped and then abandoned. The model is to depict the UC after many years. I hope that I have managed to recreate the rust blemishes and a sense of ageing.

    Hope you enjoy it.

What an amazing result, really top notch work. I've seen models of recently abandoned stuff, but never after many years neglect. Si, you have captured this 'Time scale' perfectly.......

      Well done.

Thank you Alan, one thing I have forgotten is to add some flowers, this is to offset the rust...will do that later. Glad you like it mate.

Thanks Ron, I never knew that rusting and pigment use could take so long...or it could be just me faffing...then faffing some more. Glad you like it.

Thanks Ian, the UC turned out to be a nice little model to do, not fiddly and a good platform to practice rusting techniques. Pleased you like it.

Superb Si. Like the way you have enhanced it with weeds growth etc. A lot of work in all that.

Thank you Laurie, it took longer than I thought, mainly due to a mishap with matt varnishing pigments...a no, no-just ended up with a brown mess. But, this had a unexpected benefit, the brown varnished layer became an ideal undercoat, so after adding the pigments-again, I was able to wash and rub down with just hints of the brown showing through.

Glad you like it Laurie, thank you for commenting.
