Steves 1/32 Revell Terracruzer and MACE missile. Lees rocket / missile group build.

Well I am calling this one done. I have run out of steam with it and need to move on to other models now. The model went together very well and then during the painting stage things started to go down hill. Firstly I got a lot of colour steal from the matt varnish which really took away the richness of the Olive Drab. Not sure if I hadn't mixed the matt enough before use or just went a bit heavy in places. Anyway I managed to recover the paint finish with a bit of touch up where needed and then a Satin coat put on top. Then the real distasters started with parts breaking left right and centre. Full story is in the build thread. Anyway here she is. A very unusual but very fragile Terracruzer. Nothing complicated on the finish just an Olive Drab with a black wash and then two coats of Satin varnish. Sorry about picture quality. The thing is that long I could do with a wide angle lens. (and some decent lighting)

If I can work out some lighting I will try and post some better pictures later.

Despite the issues that's an eyecatching model. Well done.

Well I had hoped to be able to remove some of the bad photos above and just replace them with some better images but it wont let me edit the post. So I hate to be a bore but I spent some time today with some lighting and I think these are slightly better. I have ordered some better lighting kit that should arrive shortly so hopefully my picture presentations will be better in the future.

          Very impressive and very unusual!

Where you going to put it to keep it safe?

I have no idea Paul, its just under 2 feet long. I think it will be boxed and stashed in the loft.

I still think it's a strange looking beast, so ugly it's beautiful ?

You've made a cracking job of it Steve, very nice.
