Great build Tim. And a wonderful paint and weathering job too. I can't do this on 1/35 so no idea how you do it on the smaller scale.

Thanks Mike. To be honest, I do the same thing in 1/72 as I do in 1/35. I just cut out things that will come out overscale, like chipping…..Comment

The techniques may be simple, but the application is extremely well executed, and the result is truly excellent.

I get this completely (although I think you should substitute "an awful lot of practice" for "a bit of practice"). But it brought to mind what I thought was an Einstein quote, but was actually Descartes, 500 years ago:
"Divide each difficulty into as many parts as is feasible and necessary to resolve it."
The techniques may be simple, but the application is extremely well executed, and the result is truly excellent.
