                Interesting Dave. When I decided on the back drop I had thought the same as you. Must be all white coloured mountains desolate and a very barren place. So I had a look at country side pictures to confirm my thoughts. But I was wrong as some of Afghanistan is really very nice indeed. There are some places as I had thought but I do think the media tend to make the place look dreary to side with their bleak reports.


                Also unfortunate that some of the fighting occurs in these very nice places. Not surprising as that is were communities tend to live.

                            I can't remember the name, its bugging me. I do a lot of hill walking and it looks very familiar and I'm sure I have walked it but I cannot place it.
